Salary: Grade 10 – £22693 - £24660 pa (Actual salary) £31639 - £34382 pa (FTE)

Permanent Position

Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday)- Term time only plus development days

We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager that can apply their experience and skills to join our successful team. As a part of the Senior Leadership team of the school you will be responsible for the financial, premises, health and safety, HR and payroll, procurement, IT management of the school and have line management responsibility for the administration and premises team.

The successful candidate will have:
Leadership and management experience, in areas including finance, human resources and Health and Safety
Experience of premises and facilities management and procurement
The capacity to work under pressure as well as having a flexible attitude and ability to adapt to change
An understanding of how efficient and effective administration supports the educational priorities of the school
A high level of professional discretion and a high standard of both verbal and written communication
A genuine desire to involve yourself fully in the life of our school and to work as part of our forward-thinking team of professionals
Have the CSBM or a recognised financial qualification or equivalent experience

We are looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants to work in Key Sage 2 to support the learning within the class. The role will include working with individual pupils, supporting those with SEND or working with small groups to support the children’s learning. The successful candidate will require a high level of Maths and English Skills to undertake the role.

Clerk to Governors Vacancy

Salary: Grade 6 - £2254 – 2392 pa. (Actual salary) £20852 - £22129 pa. (FTE)
Permanent position
Hours: 4 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (208 hours per annum)

The Governing Body is seeking to employ a Clerk to the Governors who is professional, personable and efficient with a genuine interest and preferably has some experience in school governance.

Candidates will need excellent administrative and communication skills, with the experience of minute taking. The will also need excellent IT skills, (be confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google suite and email) and have access to a computer and the internet at home. They must also have a positive attitude to personal development and training and have a flexible approach to working hours. The Clerk will be required to undertake Local Authority Clerk training.

Responsibilities will include working effectively with the Chair of Governors, Headteacher and other governors to secure the continuity of the Governing Body. Advise the Governing Body on procedural and legislative matters to ensure the Governing Body works to the legal framework. An understanding of confidentiality is essential for this role. Tasks include the preparation and circulation of papers, attendance at meetings and minute taking and keeping up to date with current educational developments and legislation affecting school governance.

GOVERNOR VACANCIES

The Governors at Binstead Community Primary School are seeking to recruit new Governors who have the skills, experience and expertise to support and challenge the leadership of the school.

What is a governor?

  • The Board of Governors has overall responsibility for running a school, in terms of legal requirements, the curriculum and how the budget is spent
  • They work closely with both the Headteacher and the staff
  • They play an active role in the strategic planning and development of the School Development Plan (SDP)
  • They participate in school self-evaluation through monitoring standards, progress implementation of the SDP and ensure compliance with policies

What input is required?

  • The governors aim to meet each half term, with the Finance Committee also meeting on a regular basis
  • They carry out monitoring visits twice a year where we each meet with a nominated subject lead
  • Visits to the school throughout the year help to support events and celebrations whenever we possibly can
  • There are training courses held both internally and externally

What do we need?

  • New governors to support the running of our school, either from parents or other members of the community
